The five-arm varieties are the most common, hence their name, but species with 10, 20, and even I thought that this article was really helpful. I'm doing a school project on the Ochre sea star and one of the questions on my homework was "how does the Ochre sea star defend itself". So I googled it and got this. March 31, 2015 at 7:30 PM Midgardia was discovered in 1970 in the Gulf of Mexico, but very little is known about its habits, life cycle or numbers, except what can be guessed from the fact that it is a Brisingid starfish. It doesn’t even have a common name – it only has its scientific name, Midgardia Xandaros . Midgardia xandaros, new genus, new species, A large brisingid starfish from the Gulf of Mexico. One of the more obvious features one sees in starfish, especially in tropical species is the presence of heavily developed armor and armament, such as the spines in this Protoreaster nodosus. T o be honest, armor and spines as defensive are usually interpretations of how the body forms function in the wild.
What is its arm reach? Midgardia xandros, can have an arm reach of 1.38 m (4 ft 6 in). Midgardia Seastar, Dugong, Red Kangaroo, Red Hartebeest, Saber-Toothed SEA BEASTIES & MYTHS & MONSTERS Anchovy, Devil Frog, Ifrit, Sea Star, All of their vital organs are located in the arms, so a portion of an arm could potentially grow a whole new sea star.

Seastars are also known as starfish but are not fish. They are echinoderms, and Midgardia Seastar belongs to an order of primarily deep-sea animals. -Midgardia seastar. My favorite of this batch is the red wolf. Bay cat is second, but I would have liked more time (and more reference photos alkfjwkeljfaklweja damn your elusive ass, bay cat!) for that one.
However, its fat arms are only just over 1 feet (30 cm) long. Second is the Midgardia Xandaros, which has arms that can reach up to twice that length. Midgardia has very long arms but a tiny body. -Midgardia seastar round 1-Didymoceras nebrascense ammonite round 2-Vampire squid round 2. Midgardia Seastar rests partially on the sandy seabed, still with arms waving, although now its arms are jutting above the waterline as the sun beats down. Saber-Toothed Anchovy is on the prowl, zipping through the seagrass in search of food, when it spots a baby nurse shark. The seagrass meadow acts as a nursery for newborn nurse sharks.
